Let me introduce what is Software Engineering (SE)
Software engineering (SE) is the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software, and the study of these approaches. In short, SE is the engineering for application software. We have Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc., why don't we have an engineer for software developer or we called as programmer? SE integrates significant mathematics, computer science and practices. SE also can be define as a systematic approach to 6 step process that is analysis, design, implementation, testing, delivering and maintenance the application software. Back in 1968 NATO Software Engineering Conference is the first appearence of the term Software Engineering. Nowadays, software engineer was high ranked as the best on in the world.
